Frequently Asked Questions

Who Is Microblading For?

Truly most everyone can benefit from microblading. Apart from the time save that filling in alone achieves, an incredible shape that lasts day after day makes microblading well worth the investment! Who couldn’t benefit from perfect brows that stay put? As long as the skin is not overly greasy, and there is no iron deficiency present, micro-artistry will definitely enhance most any face!

Does Microblading Hurt?

The discomfort during microblading varies from person to person. One very common comparison is that microblading feels similar to threading or tweezing. That being said, everyone’s pain tolerance differs. A numbing agent is applied prior, during, and after to ensure as much comfort as possible through out the procedure. It is not prohibited but can help lessen discomfort to avoid microblading while menstruating.

How Long Does Microblading Last And What Is The Follow Up?

There is no overarching, time frame as all folks are wonderfully different! Faux strokes are usually still visible at the 3 year mark but will fade and lose their crispness over time. On average, and due to the superficial aspect of micro-strokes, 30-50% of initial pigment drops out. That is why a perfection session is imperative shortly after the six week healing process. A sharpening touch up at 7 months to 1 year post session is recommended to keep brows in high-definition.

Do Some People Reject Pigment?

It is possible for pigment to not take. Though rare, unfortunately, there are those few who just don’t hold pigment quite as well as wished. Still, there are steps to take to promote as much retention as possible over a course of touching up. Strict adherence to the After Care Instructions will help ensure pigment retention. All retention options will be exhausted and satisfaction is the number one goal.

Who Is Not A Candidate And Can I Be Pregnant Or Nursing?

We love the mamas! We also really love sweet babies!!! It’s of best interest and shop policy to kindly wait for microblading until after actively trying to conceive, pregnancy, and weaning. We will be here after with open arms!

Because microblading is considered a tattoo you must be 18 years or older to book an appointment.

Those taking a certain few medications can not receive a microblading service. These include: Antibuse, Flagyl, Accutane/Isotertinoin or Retin A.
